The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Leet thuds his right hand into Washington's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The fighters circling - Washington throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Washington thows a body shot but no joy.
Leet's corner calls for a 1-2. Leet obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Washington rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Leet moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Washington walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Leet checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Leet misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Washington.
Leet connects with a looping right hand.
Washington throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Washington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Leet circles away quickly and effectively.
Washington bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Leet tries to clinch but Washington moves out of range.
Washington misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Leet fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Washington on the side of the head.

It looks like Marvin Washington has been cut.

Leet is trying to pull guard but Washington has him pressed against the cage.
Washington wants to break the clinch but can't.

Washington is trying to break the clinch but Leet is controlling him.

Leet pulls guard successfully.
