Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Jamison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes to the cage accompanied by Smells like Teen Spirit . Jamison has chosen My Last Serenade by Killswitch Engage as his entrance music. Cole Jamison told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Jamison!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jamison counters with a slapping leg kick.
Jamison lands with a right hand.


It looks like Dustin Martin has been cut.
Jamison dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martin throws a push kick but Jamison slaps the foot to one side.
Jamison turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jamison pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jamison throws a head kick but Martin moves out of range.
Martin uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jamison.
Jamison throws a lazy body kick

and Martin counters by moving into the clinch.
Jamison dodges an elbow strike from Martin.
Martin trying to control the position but instead, Jamison has worked for underhooks and has pushed Martin into the cage.
Jamison misses with a knee to the head.
Martin keeps control of Jamison as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jamison crunches a lovely knee into Martin's ribcage.
Jamison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Martin lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jamison backwards.
Martin lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Cole Jamison has been cut.
Martin fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Jamison tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Martin avoids it.
Martin looking to throw knees to the head but Jamison is blocking nicely.
Martin throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Martin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jamison backwards.

and Martin counters with a straight right hand.


That has opened up Cole Jamison's cut even more.
Jamison will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Martin drops his hands momentarily and Jamison takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jamison goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Jamison lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Martin at a distance.
Martin jabs Jamison to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That kick from Martin tenderised Jamison's leg. Jamison is trying to keep his angry face on.
Jamison misses with a low kick.
Martin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jamison lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Martin.

Jamison throws a solid leg kick but Martin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jamison.
Martin looks to land a right hand but Jamison moved out of range.
Jamison avoids a kick to the body.
Jamison misses with a right hand
and Martin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Martin throws out a loose jab but Jamison uses good head movement to avoid it.
Martin throws a big shot that misses.
Jamison tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Martin was well out of range. Poor timing from Jamison.
Martin blocks the body kick.
Jamison wants to land a leg kick but Martin is out of range.
Martin moves in looking to clinch but Jamison pushes him off.
Martin scores with a kick to the midsection.
Cole Jamison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jamison looks gassed!
Martin looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Jamison throws a right hand that misses
and Martin counters with a head kick. That will keep Jamison thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Martin takes the fight into the clinch.
Martin swings wildly with an uppercut but Jamison uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jamison manages to break the clinch.
Jamison misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jamison circles away quickly and effectively.
Martin is looking to chop away at Jamison's legs.
Jamison throws a wild body kick that Martin sees coming a mile off.
Martin lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jamison's sensitive parts.
Jamison takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jamison ducks right into an uppercut from Martin.
Martin connects with the punch.
A nice inside leg kick there by Martin. That's going to slow Jamison down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dustin Martin dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Whack! Martin lands a heavy head kick that drops Jamison. The ref tackles Martin to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Jamison was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Dustin Martin!
During a confident post fight interview, Dustin Martin thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
