The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Damsted Andersen closes the distance and clinches up with Al Kassar, looking for a takedown. Damsted Andersen pushes Al Kassar against the cage but Al Kassar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Al Kassar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Damsted Andersen momentarily.

It looks like Kristian Damsted Andersen has been cut.
Al Kassar looks to land a combination but Damsted Andersen avoids it well.

Damsted Andersen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Al Kassar smiles and moves away.
Al Kassar feints a jab promting Damsted Andersen to slip. Al Kassar then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Damsted Andersen slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kristian Damsted Andersen's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Al Kassar cracks Damsted Andersen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Al Kassar is looking to clinch but Damsted Andersen is avoiding it.

Damsted Andersen tries to keep at a distance but Al Kassar has taken the fight into the clinch.
Damsted Andersen is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Al Kassar to keep the fight standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Damsted Andersen can't get the takedown.
Al Kassar throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Al Kassar creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Damsted Andersen's defenses.
Damsted Andersen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Al Kassar pulls his leg out and moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damsted Andersen shoots in looking for a takedown but Al Kassar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Damsted Andersen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
