The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bostaph tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gaal manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Bostaph with that takedown attempt.

Gaal moves into the clinch.

Gaal jumps guard and drags Bostaph to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bostaph looking to pass the guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bostaph throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Gaal gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gaal throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bostaph blocks it with crossed arms.
Gaal is struggling to control the position.
Bostaph lands a knee to the head.
Gaal lands a knee to the head.

Gaal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bostaph tries to keep at a distance but Gaal has taken the fight into the clinch.
Gaal slows down the pace here.
Bostaph wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bostaph is trying to force a seperation but Gaal has the dominant position.

Bostaph pulls Gaal into guard.
Gaal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bostaph works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gaal must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gaal is looking to work some ground and pound but Bostaph has wrist control.

Gaal postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Gaal throwing strikes but missing.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gaal is looking to work some ground and pound but Bostaph has wrist control.

Gaal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bostaph works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Gaal throws an elbow that misses. Bostaph uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gaal's guard. Nice move by Bostaph!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bostaph is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gaal defends well.
Gaal really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bostaph. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bostaph looking for a triangle here. Gaal is fighting it but it looks tight! Bostaph pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gaal is tapping out - this one is all over!
