PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafal Kozak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kozak might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kazik 12 groszy. Tyler Durden has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rafal Kozak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden throws a series of punches but Kozak moves out of range.
Kozak moves out of range as Durden strikes.
Durden with a nice cross.


It looks like Rafal Kozak has been cut.
The fighters circling - Durden throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Durden stuns Kozak with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kozak blocks a jab.
Kozak displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Durden throws out the jab.
Durden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kozak.
Kozak takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kozak ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Durden moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kozak misses with a straight left.
Durden throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kozak.
Durden avoids the body shot from Kozak.
Durden takes a swing at Kozak's ribcage but misses.
Durden throws a hook but Kozak avoids it easily.
Durden lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Durden digs a good hook to Kozak's body.
Kozak throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Tyler Durden has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kozak slips under a jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durden lands a body shot.
Kozak wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Tyler Durden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Durden fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kozak swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Durden makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Durden misses with a jab, cross combination.
Durden throws a hook to the side of Kozak's head but Kozak sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kozak misses with a body shot.
Kozak takes a swing at Durden's ribcage but misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Durden throws a body punch but Kozak moves out of range.
Durden throws a push kick but Kozak slaps the foot to one side.
Durden takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Durden swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Kozak decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Durden's guard.
Durden looks gassed!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kozak is looking to work some ground and pound but Durden has wrist control.
Durden preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Kozak passes Durden's left leg - he's now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kozak slips a nice elbow through Durden's hands, connecting with Durden's forehead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kozak is nestled in close to Durden, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Kozak is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Durden defends it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Durden can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kozak not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Kozak works his foot free and advances to mount.
Durden in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kozak postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Durden looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kozak unloads with some shots from mount but Durden bucks and avoids them well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rafal Kozak dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Durden throws a combination that misses

and Kozak counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Durden!
Durden tries to hold on but Kozak pushes him away.
Kozak is landing with some decent strikes but Durden is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.


Durden is rocked!
Durden takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Kozak's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafal Kozak!
