Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Serego Alighiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Rocha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alighiero comes to the cage accompanied by Snoop DoGG. The key to victory for Serego Alighiero has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocha shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alighiero as he avoids it easily.
The fighters circling - Rocha throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Alighiero connects with a body shot.
Rocha misses with the combination.
Rocha takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alighiero avoids a kick to the body.
Alighiero bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Alighiero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Alighiero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Rocha can't escape the position.

Alighiero is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Rocha to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Rocha shrugs it off.
Rocha holds on to Alighiero around his waist, trying desperately to prevent any attacks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rocha throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Alighiero counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Rocha is lucky that one didn't land flush.

That has opened up Carlos Rocha's cut even more.

Alighiero is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rocha can do to turn this around?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alighiero throws a sloppy head kick and Rocha moves out of range easily.

Rocha looks for a takedown but Alighiero sprawls well.

Rocha dives in and grabs Alighiero's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alighiero pushes down on Rocha's head and hops out.
Serego Alighiero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carlos Rocha.
Alighiero takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rocha shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alighiero as he jumps to the side.

Rocha's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

The cut above Carlos Rocha's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Alighiero just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rocha's brow.

Alighiero is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Rocha is trying desperately to land a takedown but Alighiero is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Rocha.

Alighiero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alighiero leaves Rocha with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Carlos Rocha's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

BOOM! Alighiero lands a beautiful left hook that drops Rocha. Rocha tries to recover but Alighiero is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Rocha lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Serego Alighiero thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
