Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabio Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Dragonforce - Through the Fire & the Flames as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carlos.
Smith lands with a nice body punch.
Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Fabio Carlos has been cut.
Kyle Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carlos slips under a jab.

Carlos darts in and clinches Smith up against the cage.
Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Carlos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Smith is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Smith wants to break the clinch but can't.
Carlos tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body.
Carlos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Carlos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Carlos dives in and grabs Smith's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Carlos's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabio Carlos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Smith scores with a one two! Carlos had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith lands with a cross.
Carlos has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Carlos closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Carlos pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Carlos blocks a jab.
Smith slips under a jab.
Carlos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Carlos misses with a head kick.
Smith misses with a combination

and Carlos counters by clinching up.
Carlos misses with a body punch.
Carlos can't get the takedown.
Carlos stalls.

Smith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Carlos.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Smith lands a hook that stumbles Carlos back into the cage. Smith follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Carlos to the canvas! Smith pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Carlos has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
