Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Justin Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Synyster Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gates comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nightmare kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Synyster Gates!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Brown moves out of range of the strikes.
Gates lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Brown circles away quickly and effectively.
Gates dodges the punch combination from Brown.
Brown tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gates manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brown is looking to clinch.
Gates takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Brown misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sloppy strikes from Brown. Those never looked like landing.

The fight stays on the outside here - Brown looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gates thows a left - swing and a miss!

Brown darts in trying to clinch
and Gates counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gates scores with a nice head shot.
A clash of legs there as Gates blocks the low kick.
Gates scores with a three punch combo!
The fighters circle momentarily. Gates darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Gates throws a big shot that misses.
Brown throws a leg kick
and Gates counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brown misses with a straight right.
Gates takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A left lands for Brown.
Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Gates counters with a nice uppercut.
Brown throws a series of punches but Gates moves out of range.
Brown rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gates moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Brown gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Gates breaks the clinch.
Gates throws a jab but it's blocked by Brown.
Gates connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Brown's hands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gates misses with an uppercut. Brown saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brown slips a straight right by Gates.
Brown looks to land a combination but Gates avoids it well.
Gates cracks Brown with an open hand slap.
Gates dodges the punch combination from Brown.
Gates might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Gates throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Brown throws a low kick but Gates moves out of range easily.
Brown takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Brown is rocked!
Brown closes the distance looking to clinch
and Gates counters with a huge left! Brown is in big trouble! He's backing up but Gates isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Brown from any more damage. A dominating finish by Gates!
