Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vronsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tsatsu Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi shoots in looking for a takedown. Vronsky tries to sprawl out of it but Gomi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vronsky manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vronsky fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gomi manages to avoid it.
Gomi shoots in but Vronsky avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vronsky slips a jab from Gomi.
Michael Vronsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vronsky scores with a nice strike.
Vronsky throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gomi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Vronsky wants to control but Gomi is keeping busy.
Gomi is taking a breather. Vronsky says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Vronsky controlling the position for now.

Gomi looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gomi is trying to control. Vronsky wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Vronsky regains full guard. Nicely done.

Vronsky looking for a sweep. Not yet Vronsky, not yet.
Vronsky is looking to stand up but Gomi isn't so interested in that idea.

Gomi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Vronsky trying to keep a closed guard but Gomi is proving a slippery customer.
Gomi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vronsky is keeping the position for now.
Gomi trying to control the position from guard on top but Vronsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vronsky is looking to stand up but Gomi isn't so interested in that idea.

Vronsky not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

We're going to have a standup here because Michael Vronsky wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gomi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Michael Vronsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tsatsu Gomi.
Gomi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vronsky sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Vronsky is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gomi's half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gomi looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Vronsky with the ground and pound but Gomi uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Gomi has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Vronsky should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gomi has tightened it up now! Vronsky should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tsatsu Gomi!
An out of breath Tsatsu Gomi thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
