Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Koji Okano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Okano comes to the cage accompanied by Aalto - Resolution. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Koji Okano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Doet!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okano fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Okano lands with an overhand left.
Okano buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Okano.
Doet checks a low kick from Okano.
Koji Okano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Okano tries to close the distance and clinch up but Doet swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Doet takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Doet misses with a body shot.
Doet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Okano shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Doet tries for a takedown but Okano sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Okano throws a leg kick but Doet moved away.
Doet lands a nice shot to the body.
Okano paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Doet throws a right and a left that both miss.
Doet on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Okano. Okano obviously looking to wear him down.
Doet throws a hook but Okano blocks it.

Doet looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Doet is looking to advance position but Okano has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Doet keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Okano stands up from mount. Strange move.
Okano lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doet on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Doet scores with a hook to the body. Okano takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Doet misses with a body shot.
Okano fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Doet looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Okano lands with an uppercut that bounces Doet off the cage and back into range.
Okano lands a nice leg kick that just misses Doet's sensitive parts.

Okano throws a lazy head kick
and Doet counters with a left to the body.
Doet shoots in but Okano avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doet wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The fight stays on the outside here - Okano looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Okano lands a front kick.
Doet slips a jab from Okano.
A chopping leg kick lands by Okano.
Okano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Doet. Okano does a little dance to reset his feet.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Okano checks a leg kick.
Doet swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doet takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Okano throws a half hearted mid kick.

Okano misses with an uppercut.
Doet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Okano.
Okano is looking to clinch but Doet is avoiding it.
Doet ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Doet jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Doet just misses with a punch to the body.
Okano tries a head kick but it misses.
Okano throws a leg kick but Doet moved away.
Okano connects with a body shot that sends Doet's belly button to the back.
Doet's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Doet is looking to slow Okano down with leg kicks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Okano dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Okano.

That's time! Okano's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Okano tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Okano turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Okano throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Okano keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Doet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Okano throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Okano throws a push kick but Doet slaps the foot to one side.
Doet is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Okano rather than just go for the knockout.

Doet closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doet misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Okano is trying to escape the position but Doet is controlling the position.

Doet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Doet in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Okano tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Doet tries to move to mount but Okano blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Doet is looking to take a break and control but Okano is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Doet gets to mount! Okano was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Okano defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Doet.
Okano is desperately trying to improve his position but Doet has a good base and remains in mount.
Doet trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Doet throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Doet has control of Okano's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Okano regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Doet looking to secure an arm triangle but Okano defends it well.
Doet misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Doet has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Okano tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Okano knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doet on the ground.

Doet is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Okano to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Okano shrugs it off.
Okano on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Okano tries to get out of the position.
Okano is squirming around, avoiding Doet's attempts to control the action.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

John Doet showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Doet comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Okano throws a half hearted mid kick.
Okano uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Doet.

Okano takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Doet sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Okano is looking to clinch but Doet is avoiding it.
Okano misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Okano looks to score with a jab to the body but Doet is just out of range.

Doet is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Okano.

Doet turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Doet manages to end up in side control.
Doet trying to control the action but Okano is working from the bottom.
Doet tries to move into full mount but can't pass Okano's legs.
Doet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Okano keeps working.
Doet passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Okano!

Doet is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Okano is surviving well by controlling Doet's body position as best he can.
Doet takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Doet trying to control but Okano is having none of it.
Doet punishing his opponent with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Okano can't escape the position.

Doet wants to finish this one by submission but Okano is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Doet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
