The crowd seem to be enjoying Fuentes's choice of entrance music: Big Willy Style - Will Smith. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Kavanagh and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes throws a right and a left that both miss.
No joy there for Fuentes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Archer shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fuentes ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fuentes scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Fuentes tries for a takedown but Archer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Fuentes shoots in and gets a takedown into Archer's guard.
Fuentes passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fuentes content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fuentes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Archer keeps working.

Fuentes is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Archer defends it well.
Archer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Fuentes seems to be looking for submissions.
Well, if Fuentes is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fuentes in particular looking to stall.
Fuentes throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Archer is breathing heavily.
Fuentes passes to side control.
Fuentes tries to score with some ground and pound. Archer controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Archer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fuentes on the ground.

Fuentes advances to full mount.
Fuentes punching from mount but Archer doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Fuentes controlling his opponent.
Archer wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Fuentes.
Fuentes trying to control but Archer is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fuentes looking to ground and pound but Archer is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Willy Fuentes dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Archer takes one to the chin there.
Willy Fuentes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fuentes just misses with a punch to the body.
Archer gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Archer tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fuentes is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Archer buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Archer!! Archer is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fuentes throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
