Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Lashley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lashley comes to the cage accompanied by Prodigy - Omen. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lashley looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Holmes manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lashley manages to get himself to full guard.
Lashley wants to sweep here but Holmes controlling him for the moment.
Holmes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Lashley is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Holmes postures up.
Holmes won't allow Lashley to get back to his feet.

Holmes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Holmes doesn't manage to clinch there - Lashley circles away.
Lashley throws a quick inside leg kick.

Holmes misses with a double jab.

Lashley misses with an attempted mid kick.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Lashley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holmes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lashley looking to sit in guard and control but Holmes gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Holmes wants to control from the top but Lashley keeps moving.

Lashley wants to get back to his feet but Holmes is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lashley wants to hit a switch here but Holmes passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lashley there!
Holmes trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Holmes has hold of Lashley's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lashley manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Holmes avoids the attempt from Lashley to control.

Holmes quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Holmes but it's paid off an Lashley is forced to tap! Nice work by Holmes.
