The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zaromskis blocks a head kick by Mara.

Mara closes the distance and clinches.

Zaromskis tries to pull guard but Mara holds him up against the cage and eventually Zaromskis drops back down to his feet.

Zaromskis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Mara takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Zaromskis! Mara is out on his feet! Zaromskis rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Mara is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Mara is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

After the fight, Martin Zaromskis was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
