PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Stan TheMan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silvas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). TheMan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Get Up Again. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Stan TheMan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Thiago Silvas!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Atkins.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvas throws a quick head kick that skims the top of TheMan's head.
TheMan thows a left - swing and a miss!
TheMan throws a jab when Silvas was well out of range.
Silvas tries to close the distance and clinch but TheMan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
TheMan misses with a body shot.
TheMan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silvas.
TheMan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Silvas drops his hands momentarily and TheMan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Silvas blocks a jab.
Silvas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
TheMan lands a jab to the nose.
TheMan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Silvas avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
TheMan connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silvas momentarily.

Silvas is rocked!
Stan TheMan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silvas takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Silvas fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
TheMan cracks Silvas with a right hand to the side of the head.
Silvas is still on wobbly legs! Can TheMan finish him?
TheMan wobbles Silvas with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! TheMan dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Silvas to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
