The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jitsu shoots and misses

and Dameshek counters by moving into the clinch.
Jitsu tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dameshek smiles and moves away.

Dameshek shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jitsu's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Dameshek has hold of Jitsu's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jitsu tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Dameshek cranks the arm and Jitsu screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jitsu, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
