Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azrael Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jace Maxey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azrael Young!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jace Maxey!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Young is trying to get an arm triangle but Maxey is defending well.
Young throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Young is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maxey is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Young has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Maxey wants to get back to his feet but Young drags him back down.
Maxey is not content to let Young control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maxey regains half guard, as Young was trying to land strikes.
Young throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Young makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Young's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Maxey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Young's waist but Young gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maxey off to one side.

Young bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Young creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Young trying to control the position but Maxey is working away.
Young lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Maxey down.
Young staying calm.

Young wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maxey, who protects the arm well.

Young thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Young creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Maxey sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Maxey can't do much from the bottom here.

Young grinds an elbow into Maxey's temple.
Young postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Young misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Maxey on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Young controls the position from side control.

Young circles away from the clinch attempt.

Young gets a double leg takedown into Maxey's guard.
Young sitting in guard here, content to control.
Young missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Young not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Young wants to control from the top but Maxey keeps moving.

Young with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Young working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Maxey's head.

Young postures up and lands a big shot to Maxey's brow.
Young in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Young postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Maxey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Young, into his guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Young wants to sweep here but Maxey controlling him for the moment.
Maxey missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Young is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Maxey can do to turn this around?
Young avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Maxey stopping the sweep attempt from Young.
Maxey trying to stand up but can't free himself from Young's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Young is on top in guard.

Young advances position into side control!

Maxey prevents Young from improving position.

Young tries for a kimura but Maxey is defending well.

Young is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Maxey has escaped the position, nice work there.

Young throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Maxey works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Maxey pushes Young off looking to stand but Young dives back in and keeps control.

And that's the end of the fight!
Azrael Young showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Young has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
