Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Malfacine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokugawa Kazunari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malfacine comes to the cage accompanied by His Own Fight Video. Kazunari has chosen The Seeker as his entrance music. Tokugawa Kazunari has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruno Malfacine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tokugawa Kazunari!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Malfacine rushes Kazunari and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Malfacine gets through Kazunari's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Malfacine scores with a shot to the side of Kazunari's head.
Kazunari scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Malfacine drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kazunari takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Kazunari blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kazunari has Malfacine pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Malfacine manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Malfacine swings wildly with an uppercut but Kazunari uses good head movement to avoid it.
Malfacine lands a damaging elbow.

Malfacine gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Kazunari manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Malfacine manages to get himself to full guard.
Malfacine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kazunari controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kazunari loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kazunari got a little sloppy there for a moment and Malfacine has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kazunari has managed to get both his arms back between Malfacine's legs - danger averted.

Malfacine wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Malfacine isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kazunari stacks Malfacine on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kazunari!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Malfacine sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Malfacine is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kazunari's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kazunari's back!
Kazunari has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Malfacine.
Kazunari tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Kazunari tries to lock up and control but Malfacine gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Malfacine can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kazunari is looking to escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malfacine is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kazunari defends it well.
Kazunari is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Malfacine's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Malfacine's back!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kazunari doesn't have the hooks in and Malfacine manages to turn into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bruno Malfacine will probably get the nod.

Kazunari stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kazunari wants it to stay on the feet.

Malfacine throws a lazy uppercut
and Kazunari counters with a leg kick.
Malfacine will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Malfacine moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kazunari ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malfacine moves away.
Malfacine throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Tokugawa Kazunari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Malfacine fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruno Malfacine. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Malfacine takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

The fighters circling - Malfacine throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Malfacine throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kazunari sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kazunari digs a good body shot into Malfacine's ribs.

Kazunari throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Malfacine on the side of the head.

Kazunari looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Malfacine covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Tokugawa Kazunari thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
