Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kirk Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier comes to the cage accompanied by Down with the Sickness. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scottie Terrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kirk Lazarus!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terrier shoots in looking for a takedown but Lazarus manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Terrier's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Terrier is defended easily by Lazarus.
Terrier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lazarus fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lazarus thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lazarus tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Terrier avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Terrier not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Terrier won't allow Lazarus to sweep him here.
Terrier stands and throws Lazarus's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Terrier looks up at the clock and then as Lazarus takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Terrier smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The strikes coming from Terrier are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Lazarus managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Terrier.
Lazarus is looking to regain half guard here but Terrier keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Terrier takes a little break here. Lazarus wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Terrier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Lazarus is letting Terrier control him for a moment.

Lazarus is looking for a sweep.
Lazarus really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Terrier. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Terrier is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Terrier seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lazarus for as long as he can get away with.

Lazarus wants to control but Terrier postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lazarus can do anything to dispel that myth.

Terrier's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Lazarus tries to clinch up but Terrier circles away and keeps his distance.

Lazarus swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Lazarus slaps away a takedown attempt from Terrier, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lazarus tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Terrier paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A relieved looking Scottie Terrier thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
