Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Cornish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornish comes to the ring accompanied by I Came To Play by Step Zero. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Cornish enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Cornish manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Cornish got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brown has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cornish has managed to get both his arms back between Brown's legs - danger averted.

Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cornish stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cornish!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Brown tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cornish wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Brown working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cornish doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cornish manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Cornish has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Well Brown has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
