Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fling Flakoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki misses with a body kick.
Flakoon defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Aoki.
Aoki misses with a takedown attempt - Flakoon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Aoki fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Aoki tries to pull guard but Flakoon holds him up against the cage and eventually Aoki drops back down to his feet.

Aoki has Flakoon pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Flakoon manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Flakoon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Flakoon wants the takedown. Aoki is fighting it off but Flakoon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Aoki's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Aoki controls Flakoon momentarily but Flakoon frees himself.
Flakoon tries to free his leg and advance position but Aoki is retaining full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Flakoon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aoki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Flakoon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aoki. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
