Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Rumble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cole Kondrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumble comes to the ring accompanied by Click Click Boom. Kondrad has chosen Manowar Kings of Metal as his entrance music. The key to victory for Austin Rumble has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondrad shoots in for a takedown but Rumble shows good takedown defense.
Kondrad is trying hard to land a takedown here. Rumble sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kondrad shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rumble as he jumps to the side.
Austin Rumble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cole Kondrad.
Rumble cracks a nice hook into Kondrad's ribs.
Rumble looks to land a combination. Kondrad sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Kondrad misses with a takedown attempt - Rumble sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cole Kondrad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rumble lands a head kick. Kondrad smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rumble scores with a nice right hand.

Rumble gets caught napping as Kondrad dives in and scores a takedown. Rumble manages to retain guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Kondrad looks gassed!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Rumble not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Rumble tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kondrad throws an elbow that misses. Rumble uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kondrad's guard. Nice move by Rumble!
Rumble wants to control from the top but Kondrad keeps moving.

We're going to have a standup here because Austin Rumble wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kondrad fails with a takedown attempt.
Rumble doesn't manage to clinch there - Kondrad circles away.
Rumble feints a jab promting Kondrad to slip. Rumble then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kondrad slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Kondrad tries to keep at a distance but Rumble has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rumble is trying to break the clinch but Kondrad is controlling him.
Rumble wants to break free but Kondrad has control.
Rumble wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kondrad has him pressed against the ropes.

Rumble breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kondrad shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rumble pinned against the ropes. Rumble gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kondrad fails to land the takedown.
Kondrad shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Rumble to counter with a crisp jab.
Kondrad swats away the attempt to clinch by Rumble.
Rumble pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kondrad back to the ropes. Rumble follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kondrad walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kondrad throws a wild hook but Rumble just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Kondrad gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - Rumble raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
