Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boston Terrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shugun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Terrier has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Boston Terrier has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Rua there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Terrier drops his hands momentarily and Rua takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Terrier is breathing heavily.

Rua drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rua happy to just control the position for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rua stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Rua shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rua was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rua scoring with strikes but Terrier is staying in there.
Rua lands a big shot there that rocks Terrier but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Terrier is rocked!
Terrier is bucking up trying to escape but Rua cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Terrier is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Terrier knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rua on the ground.
Rua postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Terrier badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Rua around the waist but Rua pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Rua is the winner by TKO! Rua jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
