Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Boxer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Boxer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Boxer!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machado misses the shot to the body.

Machado closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Machado breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Machado darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Machado throws a hook but Boxer avoids it easily.
Boxer fails to land with a series of punches.
Machado fails with a takedown attempt.
A punch combination from Machado misses.
Boxer connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Boxer misses with a two punch combination.
Machado takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Machado tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Boxer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boxer digs a good body shot into Machado's ribs.
A slow jab from Boxer misses its intended target.

Boxer misses with the combination.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boxer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Machado moves forwards but Boxer connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Machado has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Machado there as he acknowledges the shot.
Machado doesn't manage to clinch there - Boxer circles away.
Machado is looking to slow Boxer down with leg kicks.

Machado instigates a clinch.
Boxer is looking to break free of the clinch but Machado has double underhooks.
Machado drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boxer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Machado could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Machado doesn't manage to clinch there - Boxer circles away.
Machado will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lyoto Machado. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Machado walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Machado tries to pull guard but Boxer won't allow it.
Machado tries for a takedown but Boxer manages to get underhooks.
Machado is looking to take this one to the mat.
Machado is breathing heavily.
Machado tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Boxer just stands there and leans against the cage.
Machado drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Boxer gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Machado pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Boxer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A combination from Boxer does no damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Machado takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Boxer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boxer jabs at Machado's body.
Boxer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Boxer lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Machado can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Boxer and Machado drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Boxer.
