And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Mauricio Rocha and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaike fails with a takedown attempt.

Araribe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kaike gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kaike takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Araribe missing with punches from the bottom.
Araribe is refusing to be controlled, as Kaike sits in half guard.
Araribe slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Araribe isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Kaike stacks Araribe on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Kaike!
Araribe sneaks back into half guard.
Kaike moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Araribe.

Araribe is looking to regain half guard here but Kaike keeps moving and retains side control.
Araribe tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Araribe throws a few strikes from the bottom but Kaike takes advantage and mounts!
Araribe is looking to improve his position but Kaike isn't that keen on the idea.
Kaike lands with some strikes.
Araribe is squirming around, avoiding Kaike's attempts to control the action.
Araribe is desperately trying to improve his position but Kaike has a good base and remains in mount.
Kaike blocks Araribe's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Kaike trying to control but Araribe is having none of it.
Kaike prevents Araribe from getting the reversal.

Kaike wants to control the pace but Araribe is squirming around nicely.
Kaike is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kaike has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Araribe's face.

Kaike goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Araribe turns into him and now he's in Kaike's guard.
Kaike is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Araribe postures up in Kaike's guard and throws a big left but Kaike blocks it.
Araribe working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kaike's head.
Araribe is in close to Kaike's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Araribe is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Araribe lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Araribe wants to pass the guard but Kaike is keeping the position.

Araribe looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Araribe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kaike with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Araribe lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Kaike! More strikes land and this one is all over! Araribe jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
