Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knuckles misses with an uppercut. Rua saw that one coming.
Rua takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
No joy there for Knuckles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Rua drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Rua are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Rua grinds an elbow into Knuckles's temple.
Rua with the ground and pound but Knuckles regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Knuckles wants to get back to his feet.
Rua looks to land a strike but Knuckles avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Knuckles kicks Rua off and gets to his feet.
Rua has a takedown stuffed.
Rua shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Knuckles pinned against the cage. Knuckles gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Knuckles jabs Rua right on the nose. Rua blinks but takes it well.
Knuckles misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rua closes the distance and clinches up with Knuckles, looking for a takedown. Rua pushes Knuckles against the cage but Knuckles circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nauricio Rua. That's going to take a lot out of him.
