Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Anderson Spider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 9 - 1, fighting out of London, Rolando Paneda!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider lands a high kick!


It looks like Rolando Paneda has been cut.
A chopping leg kick lands by Paneda.

Paneda clinches up with Spider and pushes him back against the cage.
Spider wants to break free but Paneda has control.
Spider tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Paneda jumps guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Spider gets to his feet - Paneda follows without any prompting.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Spider rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Paneda moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Paneda is looking to clinch.
Paneda shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Spider defends it nicely.

Paneda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Spider was covering up waiting for the punch and Paneda finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Spider escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Paneda gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Paneda wants to pass the guard but Spider is keeping the position.

Spider manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Paneda manages to get himself to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Spider decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Spider throws a body kick the misses
and Paneda counters with a good low kick that Spider was not able to check.
Paneda avoids the body shot from Spider.

Spider scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Paneda doesn't seem bothered though.

Spider throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Paneda.
Spider throws a head kick but Paneda moves out of range.
Paneda takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Spider fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Paneda has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Anderson Spider seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spider misses with a series of wild punches.
Spider throws a nice inside leg kick.

Spider will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Spider pivots, looking for a leg kick but Paneda is out of range and Spider settles back down.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Spider, right into the meat.

Paneda lands with a kick to the temple. Spider shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Spider throws a lazy right hand but Paneda sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Nice sprawl there from Spider as Paneda shoots in.
Paneda fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Anderson Spider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rolando Paneda.
Paneda throws a right hand that Spider ducks under and follows up with a left that Spider also avoids with ease.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Spider. Paneda shrugs it off though.

Paneda throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Spider's waist but Spider gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Paneda off to one side.
Paneda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
That kick from Spider tenderised Paneda's leg. Paneda is trying to keep his angry face on.
Paneda avoids the head kick by Spider.
Spider throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Paneda.
Spider displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paneda.
Spider stalks Paneda and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Paneda's face. Paneda staggers backwards, shaken.
Spider looks to land a body kick but Paneda moved away.
Spider throws a right hand that Paneda ducks under and follows up with a left that Paneda also avoids with ease.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Paneda drives through with a takedown into Spider's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Paneda avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Spider might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Spider manages to escape and get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paneda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Paneda trying to control the position from guard on top but Spider is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Spider seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
