Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Burt Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Insane Zane!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zane lands a big head kick that sends Black tumbling to the mat! Zane takes a step backwards and waves Black back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Black is rocked!
It looks like Burt Black has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zane tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Black is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Black blocks a head kick by Zane.
Black tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zane sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Black somewhat.
Zane swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Zane throws a head kick that misses.
Zane tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zane throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Zane and Black are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Zane throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Black into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Zane knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Insane Zane!
In his post fight interview, Insane Zane gave a big smile as he said 'Take some asprin and call min the morning...'.
