The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fossmo throws a combination. Taylor tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fossmo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fossmo is looking to clinch but Taylor is avoiding it.
Fossmo scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Sultan Taylor has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fossmo moves in looking to clinch but Taylor pushes him off.

Fossmo drops Taylor with a beautiful combination! Taylor stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Fossmo is looking for the KO!

Helge Fossmo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Fossmo sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fossmo closes the distance but Taylor moves to the side

and Taylor counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Fossmo holds on and takes a little breather.
Fossmo wants to stand and escape but Taylor is having none of it.
Taylor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Fossmo pushes Taylor off and scrambles back to his feet.

Fossmo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Fossmo wants to clinch.
Fossmo throws a series of strikes that have Taylor backpedaling.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Fossmo lands a big right hand that sends Taylor crashing to the mat! Fossmo stays standing though and waves Taylor back to his feet!

Fossmo is pressed up against the cage. Taylor has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Fossmo down to the mat. Fossmo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Taylor shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Taylor was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Fossmo tries to reverse the position but Taylor maintains control.

Fossmo looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
Taylor misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Taylor lands a nice shot to the head.
Poor strikes thrown by Taylor there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Taylor thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Taylor wants to control the pace but Fossmo is squirming around nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Taylor throws some wild stikes that Fossmo manages to avoid easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Fossmo scores with a one two! Taylor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Oooooh!!! Fossmo has knocked Taylor down with a huge combo! Fossmo steps away and waves a wobbly Taylor back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fossmo tries to clinch but Taylor is having none of it.

Fossmo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Taylor gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Taylor tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fossmo is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Taylor buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Taylor!! Taylor is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fossmo throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
