PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kangeroo Poo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Rook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rook comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shinedown-Simple Man kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Will Rook is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kangeroo Poo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Will Rook!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rook throws a half hearted mid kick.
Poo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rook is fending him off so far but Poo persists. Nope, Rook circles away and we're back to standing.
Rook lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rook fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Poo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Poo gets tackled into the cage by Rook. Rook maintains the clinch.

Rook manages to break the clinch.
A head kick misses from Rook.
Poo shoots in and drives through. Rook sprawls well.
Poo tries to clinch but Rook moves away
and Rook counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Poo out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Rook is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Will Rook!
Will Rook decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
