The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe pushes Woodley up against the cage in a clinch.
Joe lands with a right to the head.
Woodley wants to break free but Joe has control.
Woodley is trying to push Joe away but Joe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Woodley working aggressively here.
Joe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Woodley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Woodley pulls Joe in close to prevent any damage.
Joe working some strikes from top position.
Woodley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Joe stands up from guard. Let's bang!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Joe slips a jab and a cross from Woodley.
Joe rushes Woodley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Woodley fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Joe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Woodley takes a head kick and keeps coming.
It looks like Tyron Woodley has been cut.
Joe lands with a right and another and another! Woodley is in big trouble! Joe lands again and this time it's lights out for Woodley! A quality knockout there for Joe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jimmy Joe!
Jimmy Joe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
