PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bon Joy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Judge Holden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joy's entrance music is The Prodigy - Breathe. A fine choice. Holden is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Act a Fool. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joy turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Joy stuffs the takedown attempt from Holden. Holden gets slowly back to his feet.
Holden throws a right and a left that both miss.
Joy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Holden.
Holden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A looping hook to the body misses from Joy. Holden does a little dance to reset his feet.
Holden scores with a shot to the body.
Holden throws a jab when Joy was well out of range.
Holden moves in looking to clinch but Joy pushes him off.
Holden connects with a good right hand that stumbles Joy. Joy circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Joy manages to reverse the position and now he's in Holden's guard. Nice work there by Joy.

Holden working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joy doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joy manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Holden is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Joy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Holden has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Joy has managed to get both his arms back between Holden's legs - danger averted.

Holden is looking for a triangle but Joy pushes his legs off easily.
Joy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holden swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Joy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holden is in a horrible position here. Joy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Joy fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Joy! Holden is hurt baaadly! Joy is firing away with more strikes - Holden is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
