Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demon Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maia has chosen Numb/Encore as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Mikey Kim has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maia moves away.
Kim showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Maia.
Kim displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maia.
Maia misses with an attempted mid kick.
Maia avoids the body shot from Kim.
Mikey Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kim throws a big shot that misses.
Maia gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kim misses with a body shot.
Kim misses with a wild combination.
Maia moves out of range as Kim strikes.

Kim misses with an uppercut. Maia saw that one coming.
Kim throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kim misses the shot to the body.
Maia misses with a double jab.
Maia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maia fails to land the takedown.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Kim, as that shot connected.
Kim loads up on a big right hand but Maia slips the punch.
Kim misses with a looping left.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kim pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Maia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kim is trying to defend but Maia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Maia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kim is just riding it out for now. Maia eventually gives up the hold.
Maia is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kim on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kim tries to get out of the position.
Kim is squirming around, avoiding Maia's attempts to control the action.

Kim defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Maia.
Maia looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Maia works his way to his opponent's back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Maia's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Kim trying to control the position but Maia manages to sink in the hooks.
Well, with Maia on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Kim is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
