The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smyth throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jackson shoots for a takedown but Smyth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jackson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smyth takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Scott Smyth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Smyth, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Smyth against the cage but Smyth circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Smyth sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Smyth tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smyth manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smyth throws a series of punches but Jackson moves out of range.
Smyth drops Jackson with a right and a left! Smyth comes rushing in but Jackson regains his composure and manages to keep Smyth in guard.

Jackson is rocked!

It looks like Michael Jackson has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smyth stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smyth drops Jackson with a straight right hand, right on the button! Smyth follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
