PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yossi Avitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Avitan comes to the ring accompanied by Tagidi Li Masheu. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma blocks a leg kick.
Avitan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

A nice inside leg kick there by Avitan. That's going to slow Hanma down.

Yossi Avitan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Avitan tenderised Hanma's leg. Hanma is trying to keep his angry face on.
Avitan does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Hanma chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Avitan can pounce on him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hanma has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Avitan finds it's way round the side to connect with Hanma's head.
Avitan lands a leg kick that knocks Hanma off balance momentarily.

and Avitan counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Yossi Avitan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Avitan thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hanma if he has to take too many more of those.
Avitan moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hanma walks forward, straight into a front kick from Avitan.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hanma has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Avitan.
Hanma walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Hanma tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Avitan throws a leg kick which misses Hanma's front leg but catches the back leg as Hanma tries to avoid it.

Hanma's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Avitan has managed to clinch.

Avitan landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Avitan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Avitan is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Avitan throws a leg kick which misses Hanma's front leg but catches the back leg as Hanma tries to avoid it.

Avitan changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Avitan lands a nice looking body kick.
Hanma tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Avitan swivels and escapes.
Avitan scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hanma in his tracks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Hanma has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Avitan.
Hanma shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Nice uppercut lands for Avitan. That snapped Hanma's head back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hanma is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Avitan lands a hook that stumbles Hanma back into the ropes. Avitan follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Hanma to the canvas! Avitan pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Hanma has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
