Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keith Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keio Jun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone comes into the arena with I like BEER! Tom T. Hall blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keio Jun!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jun tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stone was well out of range. Poor timing from Jun.
Jun avoids the body shot from Stone.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jun just misses with a elbow thrown towards Stone's brow.

Jun lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jun.
Jun buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Stone misses with a hook to the body
and Jun counters with an inside leg kick.
Jun slips under a jab.

Stone throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jun tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stone is in Jun's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jun has his feet on Stone's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Stone swings wildly with an uppercut but Jun uses good head movement to avoid it.

Stone chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jun can pounce on him.

Jun tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jun uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stone.

A chopping leg kick lands by Jun.
Keio Jun seems to be getting the better of the standup.

A looping hook to the body misses from Stone. Jun does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jun will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Keio Jun is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stone takes a swing at Jun's ribcage but misses.
Jun stuffs the takedown.
Stone stuns Jun with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jun misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stone moves out of range as Jun throws a body kick.

Stone looks to land a left hand but Jun moved out of range nicely.
Stone throws the left hand but Jun avoids the punch easily.
Stone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Stone looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Stone is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Jun's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Stone throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stone ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jun moves away.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Donk. Stone catches Jun right on the button with a cross.
Jun connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands.
Jun tries a head kick but it misses.
Stone throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Jun has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Stone throws a right hand that misses
and Jun counters with a nice body shot.
Stone throws a hook to the side of Jun's head but Jun sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jun lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stone has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stone and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Stone misses with a hook. Jun ducked under it nicely.
Stone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jun takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Stone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Keith Stone has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jun tries to close the distance and clinch but Stone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jun moves out of range of the strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stone throws a right and a left that Jun avoids nicely.
Jun's corner calls for a 1-2. Jun obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jun takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Jun has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
