The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wilson is on top in guard.

A close round but Murphy McDonald will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

and McDonald counters by clinching up.

Wilson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wilson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Wilson is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. McDonald is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. McDonald flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Wilson anticipates the leg and manages to get behind McDonald and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Wilson slips an arm under McDonald chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Wilson has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Wilson is squeezing on McDonald like an anaconda would it's prey. McDonald fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Wilson!
Alexander Wilson is the new lightweight champion!
