PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hyun Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Kuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kim might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to To the Top. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kim tries to close the distance and clinch but Kuraba swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kim fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kuraba has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kuraba bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kim's head backwards.

Kim lands with a nice combination. Kuraba backs away looking to recover.
Kuraba slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kuraba blocks a head kick by Kim.
Kuraba misses with a looping left.
Kuraba avoids a punch combination nicely.

Kim rushes Kuraba and presses him up against the cage.

Kuraba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Kim walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Kuraba checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Kim tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kuraba manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kuraba takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Kuraba cracks Kim with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kim lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kuraba has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kuraba and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Kim counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kuraba is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kim circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kuraba drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Kim follows Kuraba to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
