PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quinton King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brody Peck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quinton King looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brody Peck!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peck shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with King but King pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Peck lands a head kick!
King fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King doesn't manage to clinch there - Peck circles away.

Peck gets caught flat footed, as King shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Peck working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. King doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. King manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Peck escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
King postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Peck seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Peck looks gassed!

King stands and steps away. Peck gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Peck.
Peck shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and King counters with a one-two to the body.
Peck has his takedown stuffed

and King counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Peck's guard now.
Quinton King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brody Peck.

Peck looking for a guillotine here but King defends easily.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peck swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Peck is on top in guard.
Peck sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed King's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Peck is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. King can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Peck scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish King?

King has left one of his arms exposed and Peck doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. King screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
