The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guida displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kopec throws out the jab.
Guida takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Kopec is looking to stand up but Guida isn't so interested in that idea.
Guida has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kopec has momentary wrist control but Guida slips an elbow through the middle.
Guida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kopec swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Guida is looking for a kimura but Kopec is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Guida to get the leverage.
