Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jhonny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Soon Do (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soon Do will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Soon Do!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Do is looking to clinch but Cage is avoiding it.
Cage fails with a takedown attempt.
Cage misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Do tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cage swats him away and circles back towards the center.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Do is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Cage is trying hard to land a takedown here. Do sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage wants to pass to mount but Do is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cage wants to advance to full mount but Do doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Cage stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Do swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Do tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Cage wants to pass the guard but Do is keeping the position.
Do seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Cage slips nicely into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Cage passes the guard and advances to mount!

Cage will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cage has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Do is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cage defends well.

Cage thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Cage tries to move into full mount but can't pass Do's legs.

Cage tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cage has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Do tries to clinch but Cage is having none of it.
Do tries to clinch but Cage moves out of range.
Do is looking to clinch but Cage is avoiding it.
Do stuffs the takedown attempt from Cage. Cage gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Do is pressed up against the cage. Cage has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Do down to the mat. Do avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Cage fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Do avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jhonny Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cage looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Do is fending him off so far but Cage persists. Nope, Do circles away and we're back to standing.

Cage throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Do escapes and throws Cage's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Cage is looking to regain half guard here but Do keeps moving and retains side control.
Cage manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Do is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Do is looking to improve his position but Cage isn't that keen on the idea.
Cage wants to take Do's back here but Do is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Cage working for a submission but Do is keeping him at bay.
Soon Do has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Do tries to hold on but Cage pushes him away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Soon Do comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Cage has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
