Obworth has chosen Suicidal Tendencies - You Can't Bring Me Down as his entrance music. Jacob Obworth has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obworth keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Silva has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Obworth shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Obworth.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Obworth was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Obworth takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Obworth crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and Obworth gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. Obworth manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Obworth misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Obworth is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Silva rather than just go for the knockout.

Obworth on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Obworth stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Silva.

Silva swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Obworth.
Silva connects with a good right hand that stumbles Obworth. Obworth circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Silva scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Obworth shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shogun Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Obworth.
Silva connects with a solid leg kick.
Silva cracks the inside of Obworth's front leg.

Obworth is trying desperately to land a takedown but Silva is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Obworth.

Silva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Obworth motions for Silva to come forward. Obworth throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Silva moves into range and connects with a jab.
Obworth on the wrong end of a nice hook.

Silva feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Obworth sprawling to the canvas! Obworth rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Silva finish him?!

Obworth is rocked!
Obworth takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Obworth is still on wobbly legs! Can Silva finish him?
Silva is looking to slow Obworth down with leg kicks.

Silva drops Obworth with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Obworth looks back up at him and smiles so Silva waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Good leg kick by Silva there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Obworth right on the button. Obworth goes down! Silva follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Silva gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shogun Silva!

Shogun Silva tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
