Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Dredd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dredd might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Static X = Push it. Liddell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ice Cold kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chuck Liddell has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jake Dredd's chin.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Dredd changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Liddell tries to avoid it but Dredd manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Liddell to the ground. Liddell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Liddell leaves Dredd with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dredd is defended easily by Liddell.

Jake Dredd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dredd throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Liddell's waist but Liddell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dredd off to one side.

Dredd dives in and grabs Liddell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Liddell pushes down on Dredd's head and hops out.

Dredd shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Liddell's guard.

Liddell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dredd asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Dredd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dredd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Liddell sneaks out the side door and pushes Dredd away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Liddell throws a head kick that half lands.

Dredd gets tackled into the cage by Liddell. Liddell maintains the clinch.

Dredd wants to get back to striking at distance but Liddell won't allow it.

Dredd drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Liddell gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Liddell gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Jake Dredd has been cut.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dredd drops back looking for a leg! Liddell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liddell manages to kick Dredd off! Dredd jumps back into Liddell's guard.

Dredd has gone for a leg lock! Liddell slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dredd's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Liddell gets to his feet. Dredd looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dredd closes the distance and clinches up with Liddell, looking for a takedown. Dredd pushes Liddell against the cage but Liddell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Liddell cracks Dredd with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Liddell has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Dredd to stand back up!
Liddell steps in with a hook that catches Dredd right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Liddell follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Dredd looks absolutely devastated.
