Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Jensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lewis Walison!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jensen feints and as Walison raises his hands in defense, Jensen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Walison wants to stand up but Jensen is controlling him.
Jensen showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Jensen is looking to stand up but Walison won't let him.
Walison is trying to control the position but Jensen postures up.

Jensen stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Walison closes the distance and clinches.

Jensen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walison stuffs the takedown attempt from Jensen. Jensen gets slowly back to his feet.
Marcus Jensen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jensen tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Walison counters with a shoot takedown. Jensen fights it but they end up in guard.

Jensen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Jensen is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Jensen shoots and misses

and Walison counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Walison.
Walison must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Walison wants to pass the guard but Jensen is keeping the position.
Walison missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Walison prevents Jensen from getting back to his feet.

Walison thows a big elbow that misses.
Walison is fighting to break Jensen's control of his arms but Jensen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Jensen scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Jensen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Walison fails with the takedown.
Jensen throws a lazy body kick

and Walison counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jensen won't be happy with that.
Walison working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Jensen regains half guard.
Walison is looking to advance position but Jensen won't allow it.
Walison working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Walison is working for a submission of some sort.
Walison tries to stand and escape but Jensen is controlling the position.
Jensen controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.

Jensen actively working from the bottom here.
Walison lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Walison wants to pass to mount but Jensen is defending the position.
Walison tries to stand and escape but Jensen is controlling the position.
Walison wants to take a breather but Jensen is having none of it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jensen fails with an attempt to clinch.
Walison misses with a double jab.
Jensen with a poor takedown

so Walison counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Jensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jensen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jensen wants to stand but Walison is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Jensen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jensen pulls Walison in close to prevent any damage.
Jensen is trying to control the position but Walison postures up.
Jensen keeping moving, preventing Walison from controlling successfully.
Jensen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walison stops Jensen from standing up.

Walison has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Jensen to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Walison is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Jensen pulls down on the head and he's put Walison to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marcus Jensen!
