The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dude is fending him off so far but Jacobs persists. Nope, Dude circles away and we're back to standing.
Jacobs tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dude swivels and escapes.
Dude misses with the combination.
Dude displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jacobs.
One Dude has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Jacobs.
Jacobs tries to score a power double leg takedown but Dude sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jacobs somewhat.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dude as he jumps to the side.
A left and a right from Dude both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Brandon Jacobs has been cut.
A slapping leg kick lands for Dude.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jacobs shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Dude counters with a right hand to the body.
Jacobs looks gassed!
Jacobs slips a jab and a cross from Dude.

Dude wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
A head kick misses from Dude.
Brandon Jacobs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Dude counters with a two punch combo.

Dude lands a left and a right that send Jacobs crashing to the mat, dazed. Dude thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jacobs is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dude scores with a hook to the body. Jacobs takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Dude drops Jacobs with a beautiful combination! Jacobs stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dude is looking for the KO!

Jacobs seems to have recovered his senses.
Dude misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jacobs gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Jacobs tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Dude is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Jacobs buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Jacobs!! Jacobs is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Dude throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
