Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Professor Snipe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Draco Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snipe tries to close the distance and clinch but Dragon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dragon keeps the fight on the outside.
Snipe moves out of range of the body kick.
Snipe checks a low kick from Dragon.
Dragon throws a hook but Snipe avoids it easily.
Dragon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Jab, jab by Dragon - just one landing.
Snipe throws a wild body kick that Dragon sees coming a mile off.
Dragon throws a head kick that misses.

Snipe clinches up against the cage.
Snipe is trying to maintain a safe position but Dragon gets an underhook and turns Snipe into the cage.
Snipe tries for a takedown. No joy.
Dragon tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Snipe works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Dragon has Snipe pressed against the cage.

Dragon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Snipe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dragon but Dragon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Snipe checks a leg kick.

and Snipe counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Snipe shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Dragon as he jumps to the side.
Snipe moves to clinch but Dragon breaks away
and Dragon counters with a straight right hand.
Dragon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dragon wants it to stay on the feet.

Snipe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dragon's waist but Dragon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Snipe off to one side.

and Dragon counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dragon.
Snipe is breathing heavily.
Dragon is looking to take this one to the mat.
Dragon jumps guard but Snipe turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Dragon has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Snipe uses from the top position.
Dragon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Snipe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Snipe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dragon but Dragon pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Dragon wants to take the fight to the mat but Snipe manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dragon has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Snipe after a bit of a struggle.
Snipe's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Dragon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Dragon is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Snipe's half guard.

Dragon wants to stand up but Snipe manages to regain full guard.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Draco Dragon hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Snipe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dragon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Dragon is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Snipe can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snipe is looking to improve his position but Dragon isn't that keen on the idea.

Dragon keeps control of the position as Snipe tries to break free.
Will Dragon go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Snipe is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dragon has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Snipe's body.

Draco Dragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Dragon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snipe slaps away a takedown attempt from Dragon, before circling back to the center of the mat.

A frustrated look appears on Snipe's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Dragon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Snipe regains guard immediately.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Draco Dragon was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Dragon shoots in looking for a takedown. Snipe tries to sprawl out of it but Dragon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snipe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Professor Snipe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Draco Dragon.

Draco Dragon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dragon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
