The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorovich shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Germano sprawls well. Germano wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fedorovich gets slowly back to his feet.

Germano unloads with some shots from mount but Fedorovich bucks and avoids them well.
Fedorovich can't escape the position.

Germano throws a strike there. Fedorovich manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.

Germano seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Germano is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fedorovich's half guard.

Fedorovich drops back looking for a leg! Germano is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Germano manages to kick Fedorovich off! Fedorovich jumps back into Germano's guard.

Fedorovich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Germano is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fedorovich, into his guard.
Germano throws an elbow that misses. Fedorovich uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Germano's guard. Nice move by Fedorovich!

Germano throws a sloppy head kick and Fedorovich moves out of range easily.
Germano misses with a looping left.

Germano bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fedorovich manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Germano uses his free foot to push down on Fedorovich's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fedorovich.
Germano can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fedorovich is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Germano tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Fedorovich tries to score a power double leg takedown but Germano sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fedorovich somewhat.

Fedorovich gets caught flat footed, as Germano shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Germano content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Fedorovich has locked up a guillotine! Fedorovich's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Germano is holding on here and Fedorovich must be using up a lot of energy. Germano has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Fedorovich gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
