Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Taalasmaa!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taalasmaa scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Hart slips under a jab.

Taalasmaa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kari Taalasmaa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Taalasmaa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kari Taalasmaa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Taalasmaa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hart did well to prevent Taalasmaa getting side control.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hart uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Taalasmaa.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Taalasmaa.

Hart wants to stand back up but Taalasmaa manages to pass into side control.

Taalasmaa postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hart looks a forlorn figure.

Kari Taalasmaa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Taalasmaa drives through with a takedown into Hart's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Taalasmaa is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hart can't keep his opponent in guard - Taalasmaa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Hart looks like he's trying to stand up.

Taalasmaa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Let's hope that Taalasmaa has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kari Taalasmaa was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Taalasmaa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hart on his heels. He'll look to pass Hart's guard now, I'm sure.
Soljah Hart has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kari Taalasmaa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Taalasmaa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
