The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parks tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pitt sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Parks somewhat.
Pitt lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Parks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Pitt was covering up waiting for the punch and Parks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pitt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Parks is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Parks misses with a hook from the clinch.
Pitt lands a right hand.
Parks tries for a takedown but Pitt manages to get underhooks.
Parks blocking some punches.
Parks jumps guard but Pitt turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Brian Pitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Parks.

Parks breaks the clinch.

Pitt uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parks.
Pitt tests Parks's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Pitt scores with a shot to the side of Parks's head.
Parks is trying to pull guard but Pitt has him pressed against the cage.

Parks has hold of one of Pitt's legs. Pitt is fighting the takedown attempt but Parks gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Parks trying to control the position from guard on top but Pitt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pitt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Parks is controlling him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pitt has his feet on Parks's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Pitt lands a jab to Parks's midsection.
Parks looks gassed!

Parks avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pitt cracks a nice hook into Parks's ribs.
Pitt lands a head shot.

Parks is rocked!
Parks switches off momentarily and Pitt cracks him with a monster right hand! Parks topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Pitt dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Pitt!
