Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hickey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ace Vergel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ace Vergel!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hickey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vergel on his heels. He'll look to pass Vergel's guard now, I'm sure.
Vergel looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Hickey has gone for a leg lock! Vergel slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hickey's guard.

Hickey working for a triangle but Vergel defends it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hickey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vergel's guard.

Hickey is trying to control the action in half guard but Vergel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hickey is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Vergel defends it well.

Hickey is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Vergel is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

In his post fight interview, Jake Hickey started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
