The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Saunders has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Saunders looks for the body kick but Turner saw that one coming.
Turner moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Saunders fails with a takedown attempt.

Turner throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Tony Saunders has been cut.
Turner takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Saunders throws a chopping leg kick but Turner manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Saunders shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turner but Turner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Saunders fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
John Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Saunders.
Saunders chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Turner can pounce on him.
Saunders looks gassed!
Turner lands a leg kick that knocks Saunders off balance momentarily.
That kick from Turner tenderised Saunders's leg. Saunders is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turner lands with a thumping leg kick.
Saunders takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Turner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Saunders's calf.
Saunders's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Turner fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Saunders.
Turner thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Saunders if he has to take too many more of those.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Turner moves into the clinch successfully.

Saunders is trying desperately to land a takedown but Turner is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Saunders.
